Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), commonly known as IP University, is a prominent state university in Delhi, India. Established in 1998 by the Government of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi under the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, it was initially named Indraprastha University and renamed in 2001 to honor Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru. The university draws its name from the ancient city of Indraprastha, referenced in the Mahabharata epic. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act and is accredited with an A++ grade (CGPA 3.56/7) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), valid until 2030.

GGSIPU functions as a teaching-cum-affiliating university, offering undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral programs across diverse fields like engineering, management, law, medicine, technology, education, sciences, and business. It affiliates over 120 colleges and institutions in the Delhi region while maintaining its own university schools and centers.
